Pokemon GO Water Festival for 2022 is here, bringing new costumes and Pokemon from the Alola region.
The Water Festival in Pokemon GO returns for this year and debuts a new costume for Lapras wearing a scarf and Dewpider, Tapu Fini, and Araquanid. To evolve Dewpider into Araquanid, you can use 50 Dewpider Candy.
POKEMON GO WATER FESTIVAL – WHEN IS IT?
The Pokemon GO Water Festival 2022 event is available from this Thursday, May 12th, at 10 AM local time and will run until the Friday after, May 20th, at 8 PM local time.
There will also be a global challenge available during this time. From tomorrow, May 11th, to Saturday, May 21st, catching waves of Water-type Pokemon will result in additional bonuses for yourself and other trainers you work with.
Here are the challenges:
- Global Challenge: Catch 600,000,000 Water-type Pokémon
- Global Challenge bonus reward: 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
WHAT ELSE IS THERE?
The following Pokemon will be appearing in Raids: Qwilfish, Wailmer, Rockruff, Spritzee and Helioptile in one-star raids. Raichu (Alola), Lapras Costume, Feraligatr, Azumarill, and Ludicolo appear in three-star raids.
Tapu Fini will appear in a five-star raid, and Blastoise (Mega) will appear in a Mega Raid.
In other news, Pokemon GO has been banned in Russia due to the ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
